First and foremost, let me just say that there are some of you out there and you know who you are, that have kept in contact with me, even it was a little hello , thinking of you and what not.

I am soo very much appreciative of your well wishes.

Ok a little update, my under arm surgery is now almost fully recovered, except for a small

small hole that needs to close, the scar I have on my left underarm is horrendous

it looks like spider legs almost, but anywho, I got that out of the way, hopefully it will not

return so that I dont have to go through all the pain I did.

I would like to get back into the swing of things, but its going to be a while because

now I have to get ready for whatever comes my way with my

Cervical Cancer. Its a huge mess, they cannot seem to find what the problem is, but i am

confident that the oncologist will pinpoint whats wrong.....

Well here is a little update on what I am going to be doing.

I know some of you mentioned about the PHAT Stamps, that will be in the works

and I am going to be having some scrubbers and rubber stamp cleaners.

I wanted to take a poll, on whether to do red rubber stamps, acrylic stamps or DIGI Stamps.

What would you like to see?

Also, Im going to be posting up here and on ebay, some stamps, paper, embelishments, etc......etc.......for sale, simply because I am going to be focusing on my line and

I need to make room for the products that I will be bringing in,

mainly ribbons, and some embellishments, papers, etc...etc....

so please be on the look out for that, I have entirely too much

stuff and not enough time to make cards, I will me getting rid

of alot of stuff and at a great deal, maybe some sets will be made, i just have to figure out

how I am going to make the sets.

Just a little heads up so be on the look out

I will hopefully God willing be back in to full swing next week. I am taking longer to recouperate because of the area that its in.... I may take up to another month or so......

As for my other health issues, I went for my follow up pap and it doesnt look good, I will have to go speak with an oncologist to discuss options and treatments that can be done, before this becomes full blown cancer. Am I scared, yes. Will I get through this? I sure hope so. With the support of my immediate family, I am sure things will go more smoothly, but who am I kidding, we are women, we were meant to have lots of stress and come out on top, right...

So with that said, Heidi

has the most cutest images over there, I think there swedish or

something, could not make out the language but I think thats right......

Well you guys remember a few posts agao I was aksing for Doll Pins, well since then, my girlfriend over at SpanishBella was soo very kind enough to send me some pins that she got.

Ok well after twirling my hand over and over and getting a cramp, I finally got the ribbon

on the doll pins, I still have alot more to go ......

Gracias Wendy it helped alot, I dont have the little candy bowls that I orginially

Lol, I have been so crazy busy these weeks that I have not been able to create anything new, but I did promise some pics of the images that I was RAK'd, I have been rak'd with some cool cards and images..

I do have a card that I made for my girlfriends son's Birthday. He turned 10 years old on Good Friday and I did this card for him from the Images that Heather Huggins sent me.

Heather thank you once again, I finally packed up your goodies and have them ready to ship out to you. Lastel your package went out too, Please let me know when it arrives.

Ok so here is the card I created for Michael. Only thing is that I do not know the name of the stamped image that I used. But I will name this one Skater Boy......like Avril Lavigne, lol..(edited to change color of text)

Anyway Here it goes......

I used the Rockstar paper from DCWV, colored pencils, some prisma and some just regular color pencils, On the skateboard I used Stickles, (cannot recall the name put its obviously orangey) and its a Tri-Fold Card. Oh yea and I gave it a look as if it was outside somewhere and traced the image itself with the sky blue marker from Martha Stewart, I love that blue color.

1. Why the name Stamping Bellas?

>>hmmm good question. Well the company started out as “Emmyz” because everyone called me “emmy” or Em but it wasn’t so catchy and a little “narcissistic” LOL.. so then when my first bella was created I looked at her and said.. OMG SHE IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL BELLA (beautiful in Italian and no I am not Italian..LOL)! Then the search for a website name came and was found and the rest is history!

2. What other designer or company would you like to work with?

I work with many artists and suppliers.. I have 5 artists I work quite closely with and have created very tight relationships with them. There is no one in particular I strive to meet or work with.. people enter my life on a daily basis and I believe for a reason. I have met many many wonderful “sistahs” on this journey and I plan to meet many more J. With artists or companies I work with, we just for some reason find eachother. It is soo wonderful.

3. Which Bella was your very first creation?
My Bridalpartybellas.. they were my FIRST FIRST FIRST creation and they will forever mean the world to me.

4. Did you ever think that your idea would sky rocket the way that it has?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. I had no confidence, I felt like I had no place in the stamping world..,

I just wanted to bring my hobby to the next level and share the artwork with the people

around me. My most important idea in this adventure was the SISTAHOOD..

THAT sistahood and me being so deeply involved and “out there” was my intention..

more than sales.. to say that I have “met “ people from all over the world

who share my passion?? How CRAZY is that? To have been able to create a

venue where other people meet and become true friends?

Could you beat that??? So even if the business

fails, I will ALWAYS be thankful for this experience.. FOREVAH!

5. If you could say, what are some other plans that your thinking of coming out with?

Now WHYYYYY would I do that? *winks*… All I can say is that I have a PHENOM line of embellishments coming.. something NOT to be believed.. trust me. (ever hear me say that before?)

6. When is your Birthday?
June 25th 1972. I now expect a birthday card from EACH and EVERY one of you J

7. If you could pick a fruit to eat right now at this minute, what would that be and why?
Chocolate covered STRAWBERRY. That’s a fruit no?

8. What is your favorite food recipe and would you mind sharing that with me and our readers?
Hmmmmm… I honestly love everything.. I don’t really have a favorite recipe…

9. What is your all time favorite Elvis song, if there is one? Lol….
Hmmmm you know the one that starts the show “LAS VEGAS?”.. a little bit something.. (oh am I ignorant)..LOL. Is that even ELVIS?? OMG

10. Ok I ask all my featured artist this question and some of us may know but there are many who don’t like me, What is your favorite drink? Cosmos (lol), Tini’s wines?
I honestly don’t drink… I have other vices..LOL. If I HAD to choose, it would be red wine.

11. You had a little snafu with a little button that sent out lots of $$$$$ as Gift Certificates, you mentioned that you would honor your mistake, could you roughly state how much that set you back?
I didn’t do the final “tally” but it had a potential loss of approximately $ 70,000 but all is ok J

12. I know a lot of the ladies in the group did not want to take you up on the offer for fear that it would hurt you financially, What would you like to tell the ladies who decided not to take the G.C.?
I thank them from the BOTTOM of my heart and appreciate their thoughts and actions ,you have no idea. BUT by the same token, I cannot “blame” anyone who used it as I did honor it

Hey there its been crazy around here this week with the start of

the new quarter at college, the kids returning to school from spring break,

Pageants, Rehearsals, you name it, it was done this week. Not to mention all the cooking and cleaning, etc. etc....

Well lets see we have a lot of interesting things to post today.....

I wanted to say thank you to the Stamp Crazy Group

I was Queen of the Group last week.

Incase your wondering what that is, the girls in the group decided

that all the girls in the group would be Queen for the Week, so names are picked

every week for that respective week and the name chosen gets to be

the "Queen". The other ladies from the group get to send out images to the one picked. So I was chosen last week and I had no idea, lol.

I received a TAC catalog and some images from Danni, Bere sent me a stack of Bellas, I think there is one of each bella in there, lol . Gracias Chica,

Im sorry but there were a few others that sent me some images, but

I am not at home right now, so I cant look at the envies to give them there due

credit. I also got lots of buttons,I cannot wait to get some cards done,

Well last week's appt for my daughter got cancelled because the doctor had to leave because her lil girl got really sick. So the appt was switched to today,

so we will be asking all sorts of questions regarding her boob and if there is any

relation to this "NEW to me" IBF Cancer. I am hoping and praying that her situation

is just that of having one bigger than the other, because then we can live with that,

for it to be anything else, whewwwww that will definitely put a damper on things.

But I have to be strong and think positive because

we dont want to jump the gun on anything.

Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes, I will post about the visit to the doctors

later on in the day.

It is Inflammatory Breast Cancer, and I have never in my whole life heard of this,

well I for one am worried for my daughter as I am writing this

my eyes are swelling up because my lil girl was scared to tell me

that she felt awkward about one of her breast, and not to put this out

there but it concerned us as well as THANK God the day has come

for her to meet with a specialist tomorrow and I will definitely raise this

comment to him so we can rule everything out....

ok here is my creation of the day

I used Melanie's "Just so Hoppy" set,

I saw the chick and thought back to when my mom

took us to Puerto Rico one Easter, and I was sooo excited

to see that the little chicks were different colors,

they had pinks, purple, blues and of course yellow.

So I colored my little chickee pink and I added some pink stickles

to the Chickee and now she looks like the little peeps with sugar coating and all...........

There you have it , hope you all enjoy it.....

I was messing around with my paper cutter that doubles as a scoring tool as well, you the know first paper cutter you get when your starting out in this enabling world of card making....lol

Well I have been searching all over my town for clothespins. I checked Dollar Tree which was referenced in the tutorial for Ribbon Storage that I found on Nichole Heady's blog. I have been to Walmart, HomeDepot and Lowes, I even went to our local supermarker store Path Mark to see if I can locate these clothespins. Its not the one with the wire its the old Fashioned looking ones.

Oh Where oh were can these clothespins be, oh where oh where can they be? Does anyone know of maybe somewhere on line. Lol, I mean geeeesh, are they that obselete now....lol...I know there are many housewives out there that like to hang there clothes out on the line and they may or may not use these. I am a Paper Crafter on a mission....I will leave no store unturned, lol...

Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with one of the most deadliest Cancer. It is said that he has Pancreatic Cancer.

OMG, my prayers are also with you Patrick, you must know that you are one of my fav... actors, I have watched almost all your movies, and your just yummy. Good luck to you in these troubling times.

I tell ya Melanie has some energy, she really is like WonderWoman. Sometimes I feel the same way she explains on her post, run here, run there, do this, take that, who in the heck has time to clean, we are so busy stamping, designing, oh yea and we must not forget Taxiing the kids here and there and Gosh Golly Gee, we cannot forget the DH's cause they will have a hissy fit if we dont give them there 5 minutes ......

Well enough blabber, Im gonna "Blurfff" a bit before going into my room, I tell you today was a very trying day. Well since I am on the subject..... I might as well let you all know , why I am soo drained.....

My day started at 6:30 a.m., in the back of my mind I know I have lots to do but my daughter took priority today, because the last viewing and Burial for Rodney was today. So by 9 a.m. we )my daughter, son and I) we already at the funeral home. I have to go say that the community really really showed there compassion and support today.

The high school here in town is home to about 1500 kids....Well you could really see that today because just about the entire school was at the Funeral home. If I am not mistaken, they had to close the school because all of its students were saying their last goodbyes to this kid who unfortunately lost his life in a tragic accident. (Story is a few posts down)

There were soo many people at this funeral home that the police had to close off about 3 streets. Mind you the majority of people there were the students, Rodney's friends and also many church goers from his church. Although I did not personally know him, I felt very proud of him because not one person had anything bad to say about him. The sad thing was that his life was cut so short and the worst part is that he had just turned 17, 17 days before his life ended. Isnt that something.

I do not know if many of you believe in this sort of thing, but us Hispanics who are really into our religion, feel that we somehow feel when our life will end. Its just something that is felt, as the stories begin to unfold, the same day he passed, he was told that he had gotten a baseball scholarship to a college that he was looking into, then it was said that he had a conversation with his parents, that he had a long conversation with God and that he felt a sense of peace come over him. Well that night, while at a church function, they asked if he could run an errand and return to church so that they can continue with whatever they were doing. Rodney realized that he did not have his wallet, so he asked his friend to please accompany him and drive his car to run the errand because he didnt have his license with him. His friend has been in and out of conscienciousness and still does not know that Rodney his with his Holiness.

So off they went and just a few blocks away from there church, there car spun out of control, because it was said that yes they were going just a bit faster than what they should have, being that it was just beginning to snow as well, the car spun out and headed into oncoming traffic causing the fatal crash. He was very loved and I could not believe my eyes, of how many people were touched by this youngster. He was a Bible Study teacher for younger children in his church, loved to make people smile, and always made sure that the needs of others came before his.

He was very handsome and even in death you could see his smile. That has to mean something. It is also said that he felt a really strong connection with God because on the night before, he changed all the images and sayings on his Myspace page to reflect images of God and his mood saying was "I thank God everyday for letting me take that risk". How profound is that ........I sit hear and my tears come down my face because I witnessed first hand, the love of a community, the parental heartbreak and I just thank God that my children are here with me, safe. The site was one to be seen at the Cemetary, All the students walked behind the hearse from the Funeral home, it looked like a big parade going by, the people were coming out of there houses standing in front of there porches just looking in amazement at all the people walking the last mile with him. They were singing his favorite hymns and carrying dozens of flowers. My daughter was very taken back by all this, as this is the very first time aside from when we lost my dad, that she has felt the pain of death.

It was a very trying day, seeing his parents being carried because they just collapsed. Watching the girlfriend go through the pain of seeing what would have been her fiancee, buried. Its a very sad day here in Perth Amboy. I thank God everyday for letting me have my children with me.

I am sorry readers, that this is a somber post but, I needed to get this off my chest, because I know that I would just die if something were to happen to my children, especially knowing that my children have meant so much to others. That would be devastating. I will keep Rodney and the Martinez Family in my prayers. They should also be honored to know that everyone loved and cared for him.

This months Interview was a delight and joy and ohh too funny!

Here We go:

1. How did you get into Stamping, designing, paper craft world? If you could remember what was your first card like? What company did you start out with?
I went to an SU! workshop five years ago, love at first ink, and became a demo as soon as I could. My first card was made with the retired Botanicals and a poppin' pastel technique. It was just o-kay! I was so hooked, though,I really spent a lot of time on it and found I had a knack for it. I was chosen for the Dirty Dozen about a year later, and designed for the team for 8 months. When I had my second child, I cut way back on stamping, but kept doing the occasional workshop. I was mainly a hobby demo for the five years I was with SU!(only earning enough to support my very large habit!)until recently when I stopped demoing when I got the opportunity to design my own stamps for Gina K Designs. I released my first set "Just So Hippy" in January and the second "Just So Hoppy", a coordinating set in Febraury. my next release is March 10th.

2. If your able to state what this is then by all means dish, lol, What is your next stamping set?
I could tell you but I'd have to kill you! Seriously though, I think it's okay for me to say: it is nothing like my previous sets! But I'm SO excited about it, and I'm going to be very optimistic and say it could be "revolutionary!", if I dare use that term! There's nothing like it out there that I know of. Soon (the 10th!) all will be revealed! I can't wait to share all the details of the inspiration behind it and everything you can DO with these stamps on my blog! And I'm hoping this release could satisfy my goal in question #3 LOL! ;)

3. What is your favorite Stamping technique?
I guess masking, simply because you can put any images together this way, whether it be to link two unrelated images or just to layer things like flowers, I just think it's such a cool, easy technique!

4. If you could be anywhere in the world, where would that be and why?
On a vacation with my husband, to some place exotic we've never been. We haven't had an overnight together away from the kids even once since they were born(coming up on almost 6 years now!) Having said that, I don't think I need to explain why we need to go!

5. What motivates you?
I'd love to put an image I designed in the hand of every stamper on the face of this earth! Not for the money(although it's nice!) but to think I had a hand in creating something that allows everyone out there who is passionate about stamping have even more fun with their craft! :)

6. Besides papercrafting what other hobbies are you into?
I love reading and filmgoing, but don't have much time to anymore. I joined an all women's gym this past year, and it was one of the best things I ever did! I've never been a"work out"person but I love all the different classes and try something new every day! My favorites are kickboxing, Nia, and Zumba(Brazilian cardio and salsa!) They allow me to kick butt, "get my groove on", learn something new, and feel like a strong woman all at the same time! (as well as have some "me time" to clear my mind (okay, think about my next stamps!) and stay healthy)

7. If not to personal and if I am too nosy please say so, what nationality are you ?
Caucasian.

8. What is your favorite drink? Martini’s, Blue Hawaiians, cognacs?
I'm afraid that after too much partying in college, I now avoid mixed drinks completely! But I love red wine.(although even small amounts give me scorching headaches)

9. You state on your blog that you have 2 boys, What is one thing that your boys have said to you that caught you off guard and made you do a double take? Lol
Oh my, only one thing? Give me a minute, the things that are coming to mind immediately will take everyone else off guard too!(and really embarrass my sons when they are older!) I guess without getting too graphic, when my very precocious 4 year old during his bath one night pressed me for several specifics on exactly what certain body parts are called/for/DO! Without sharing all the details it's not quite as funny of a story, but let's just say my answers (for what I thought would be appropriate for his age!) really confused him I think! I'm just not ready for these kinds of conversations, next time I think I'll stick with, "Ask your father!" (Sorry, that was probably still pretty graphic, but I'm hoping moms reading can relate!)
A sweet story, though, (that shocked me for different reasons) happened one night when I put him in his crib. Every night I would sing "Jesus Loves Me" to him before I went out of the room(which I also did every night sitting in my glider while I was pregnant with him) This night I thought he was already sleeping when I put him down, so I turned to go without singing. And before I got to the door, I turned around to hear my son sing the whole song to himself! I'd never heard him sing before, let alone that he knew every word. He was only 17 months old. I'll never forget it. It's still his favortie song to this day, and now, we always sing it to each other. :)

10. How did you meet your Mr. Wonderful and how did he propose, and how long did it take for you to say Yes?
We met at a party my roommate and I threw for Christmas 12 years ago(a year after I graduated college) My roommate was an architect and had worked with someone who worked with Paul, who was also an architect. Her friend (a guy, just ot be clear, I didn't steal him from someone's date!)talked him into coming to the party, and we hit it off right away, making plans to see each other again on New Year's Eve. (We actually went for walk around the block and shared our first kiss(blush!), which, unbelievably, is just a few blocks from where we now live!) We've been together ever since. About a year and half later, we toured Europe for two weeks, my first time to go there(he'd lived and gone to school in Italy for a year in college, though)and got engaged in Heidelberg, the quaintest little town in Germany. You know, I don't even think he proposed, he just pulled out a ring and I immediately said YES!

11. Who is your favorite actor/actress and what is your favorite movie of all time?
Moulin Rouge-I love musicals anyway, and the sets ,colors, music and Baz Luhrman's boundless imagination (and Ewan McGregor!)are simply dazzling here, just apiece of cinematic perfection IMHO.But I have faves in other genres, too like The Princess Bride, Finding Nemo etc. Actor and actress, hmmm. I'm not sure I have a fvorite now. I admire anyone who can be very funny and also tackle really different, interesting roles. I've always loved Johnny Depp, but my husband doesn't quite beleive me when I insist it's because he's really an amazing actor LOL! Favorite actress, I don't know. I think Rachel McAdams and Amy Admas are brilliant and up and coming superstars. (For a long time, it was Julia Roberts, people always used to tell me I looked like her, back when I had long hair) Susan Sarandon is just a strong, sassy, beautiful lady.

12. How did you meet Gina K.?
I just up and emailed her one day with a little pitch about myself and asked if she might want to take a peek at a hippo I drew! (She did) The rest is history. Amazing, huh?

There you have it ladies, as you can see we all can relate on different levels , we are women who do it all. Girl Power is the greatest gift of all. lol.... My Deepest Sympathies to local Families

This past Friday, our community suffered a loss in a tragic accident that has left one student in intensive care and the passenger in this accident dead.

My daughter came home yesterday with a sad look on her face, so I proceed to ask.

She says mom the State Testing that was scheduled this week has been

cancelled and there were several grieve counselors at the school.

My daughter goes to the local High School here in town and I had no knowledge of what

was going on because I have not bought the newspaper in quite some time.

So she Precedes to tell me that Rodney Martinez, 17 was killed in an accident

that occured this past Friday and the driver of the car is still in

Intensive Care.

Martinez will be missed by many students here in Perth Amboy, it seems he was

very bright and enthusiastic about Math especially Algebra, he was in the

Algebras Honors Class with a GPA of 4.23. The details of the accident are

unclear but it seems that he lost control of the vehicle and slammed in to a truck in oncomin

traffic. It could be that the snow that was falling that night played

part in this terrible incident.

His friend David Caceres has expressed interest in creating a Scholarship Fund

in Rodney Martinez's name. I applaud his actions and this is a very good idea, to honor

a youngster who was just beginning his life and was on a Road to Education Success.

I am asking those who read my post to please keep these families in your prayers

and if anyone would like to help add funds to this great Scholarship that

will be funded, to contact the

Also I have one request, I would like to give these families

Sympathy Cards , Encouragement Cards to let them know we are thinking of them.

did mention that he would always say Hi to her in the hallways and he was very kind.

So Rodney Martinez, please know that in your short life here on this Earth,

you were loved by many students, teachers and the community.

Thank you for being kind and generous with your smile and just by simply

saying Hello to my daughter. You made her Freshman year experience

more bearable by just saying hello everyday. Thank you and May God Bless you and

May God Bless your family in this time of greiving.

To Martin Lopez and your family, my prayers are also with you and I hope

and pray that you make it out of Intensive Care and that you will be granted a

chance to live and fulfill your dreams.

I just spoke with my designer and she will be diligently working

The little round embellies are initials, I used the initials of the kids

to make sure they all felt special and so that they would

Lots of snow.....yay.... I guess mama naturaleza heard me and decided to dump snow on us it started falling about 2 a.m. and now its almost 2 p.m. and the kids are outside

playing around I have not been feeling too motivated

these past 2 days, so I havent even taken a picture of the kids playing outside.....

but I got myself up from the laptop and walked over right now and

took some shots.....I called the Board of Ed this morning to verify that

the schools were closed and sure enough they were.

Have you moms ever experienced this, on a regular normal school day

its soo hard to get this kids outta bed, but here is a

snow day, without knowing if school is closed or not, they are up

at the butt crack of dawn, lol......sorry for the french, lol...

Let me know if you have gone thru this cause I feel like Im the only one.....

Well here are some pics..... oh I was even able to get a pic of the Lunar Eclipse that

took place the other day, it leaves little to be desired but eh,, i took one...

Thats my son right there, he is having a great ole time out there.....the other is the

I am really upset at the fact that Mother Nature has totally forgotten New Jersey in her

Snow Spells.

I am glad that we have had pretty good weather

like yesterday it was almost 70 degrees here, lovely

But I want to have at least One Freaking Snow Day, where the kids, hubby can

stay home and we just do nothing but watch the snow fall all day and into the evening.

I am happy to report that I got out almost all of the things I had to send to some ladies, I am just waiting on 2 people to contact me from the candy and giveaway I was having......

Also I was having some issues with the post office and they lost 2 packages on me, so I went to another post office one town over and sent them another small package and Finally the ladies that were in a 3 Kings Day Swap with me, got there packages that I sent. I am glad because I didnt want them to think I flaked on them.

There are still a few more things I have to send out like images and stuff so, please those who are expecting these items, give me a few more days and you should have them.

I am very proud of my Daughter

ok for years now my daughter has been on the Tomboyish

side of life, lol... So I am glad to report that she has

shown interest in becoming Miss Puerto Rico in our local

Pageants held here in NJ, for the NJ Statewide Puerto Rican Day Parade which

is in September 2008.

She will be running for Ms. Guayanilla (small town in PR) in the Juvenile Category

I am so ecstatic, she could not run for the town that I am from

which is San Sebastian because the town was already picked by

another girl, so we opted for her Step fathers Town...

Is He happy you ask? Let me just say that he is constantly talking about

her at work and has sold many tickets for her.....

The first party for the event is this Saturday so I will be posting

it up on here and Gosh if she wins, We already have a Dress Designer

that is going to be working with her to get her the most exotic beautiful

dresses done for her.

Wish her luck ladies.

ok so the other day in one of my yahoo groups that I

subscribe to from Puerto Rico the

Scrapbooking_PR, they are a great bunch of gals over there in the Caribbean......

so anywho, one of the girls mentioned that on QVC on Monday I think it was

they were having a PaperCraft Fair or sorts.. sooo me being Curious, ha yea curious.

I surfed on over and since that was not enough I changed my tv to the QVC Channel.

oh my, why did i do that......

I got my self almost $100 deep with shipping and all...

Let me start by saying that Maria Colosimo is one very sweet woman. She is humble and very cool... Back in December 2007 I asked her if she would be willing to let me Feature the Kitchen Sink Stamps on my blog. So she did and here you go......

1. What was your passion for designing your very own line of stamps?

There are a lot of stamp companies out today that I just love, but it seemed that more and more I was looking for images I could only find in my head. Plus, I would get so disappointed when I fell in love with a stamp, to find out later, I could not use it on items for sale.
So, I started making my own stamps that I needed for the the items that I was crafting for sale.

2. If you could work with any other stamp designer, who would that be and why?

There are so many talented and creative stamp designers today, it would be so hard to name just one! :D

3. Are you married, if so, how many years and how did you meet, Children? How many and names?

I will be married to my DH for 18 years this year. My husband and I met at college during our first year in the graphics art program. We have 2 boys, ages 9-1/2 (going on 35 - LOL) and 2-1/2... and they adore each other. Often, our household feels like you have each foot resting on a banana peel, ready to go in two different directions!

4. Your designs are truly very adorable, where do you get your inspirations from and how did you come up with the name Kitchen Sink Stamps?

My inspiration comes from everywhere (I know...you've heard that one before!). It comes from my family, my community, my past, and the places I've been...basically, the things I love.

5. What was your very first ever Card and what was the stamp set that you used?

Well, I cannot remember my first card... I have been stamping off and on, making "Thank You" cards since I was a girl. My oldest boy is now making his own "Thank You" cards...but he's not stamping yet. I do remember the first stamp I was given, which was from my Mom. It was a bear artist with a brush and artist palette in front of a blank canvas. It made a great book plate. :D

6. Did you get introduced to stamping via friends or family or was this something that you decided to try all on your own?

My mom introduced me to stamping with my first stamp. Then we would be out shopping and we would see a new stamp that was... "just too cute!" Yeah, my mom, the enabler...she got me hooked! LOL

7. How many years have you been paper crafting and stamping?

I have been making things since I was a girl. I would be given craft kits (like a Holly Hobby 3-D House shadow box...anyone remember those?) for my Birthday and for Christmas. I would finish them the same day I started! My parents said I was driven... I would now call it obsessed! :D My mom knew, it was better to harness my energy by keeping me busy! Later, choosing a profession as a graphic artist, still kept me busy in "paper crafting" by construction mock-ups for clients. When my graphic design career took the path of 100% done on the computer, I felt a great void and turned back to the crafting community. For me, there is nothing like the "feel" of paper, getting your fingers inky, and using your hands to create something that you can touch (not just on a computer screen)!

8. Where does the name Colosimo originate from, is that you’re married name or your maiden name? What nationality are you?
The last name of Colosimo originates from a small town in southern Italy, called Colosimi. This is where my husband's grandfather came from and how he got the last name. I am half-Italian and half-Slavic (Slavic on my mother's side). My husband is half-Italian and half-Heinz 57.

9. Ok we are all adults here, lol, what is your favorite drink and what does it remind you of?

Favorite drink... Diet cherry coke - hands down! Otherwise...there is nothing like an ice cold beer (Carona) or Lemon Drop. :D

10. What was the last vacation that you went on, who did you go with, how long was your stay and would you go back? What are your future plans for Kitchen Sink?

Last vacation...hmmm? 2 years ago last Christmas. Our family of 4, went to the mountains for a week with dear friends... to get away to the snow. Future plans for Kitchen Sink... well, so long as there are stampers having fun with Kitchen Sink Stamps...I'll keep on designing them! :D

Ok I did some extra notebooks and then I did a card using MWAHBELLA

The notebooks were from Walgreens and the card I used paper from SU

and the brown cardstock is like a shimmery bronze...I used Stickles on her clothing and glazed here up....

The one notebook uses UNFROGGETABLE and the other is the BILLBOARDABELLA.......

I woke up this morning to open my emails and read a very disturbing post to a group that I am in. The post contained this link to a story that is currently going on in Galveston Texas,
please take a minute to go the links and read what has happened. What really gets me is that the post apparently has been posted by the mother of the baby. I seriously do not want to believe that a mother who has just lost there 3 month of baby, would find time to post something up, this is just me, especially to a stamping group. PLEASE READ.....Making Amends.......A little Story that I need to tell.......

I know I have been sidetracked alot lately, I have owed some images and some candies and even some PIF's...........

So I am doing my BLOG 12 Steps Program sorta speak.

I have a list of people that I will be sending there PIF's, IMAGES, SMALL CANDY AND "PLEASE FORGIVE ME CARDS" too,

Life has its way of getting in the way of Life and things that you want to do and some of you may think that I am a flaker, but actually I am not. I am just a mom, a wife and a daughter who has been going thru alot of stuff, not that I am making excuses and not that I want this out in the open, but PLEASE READ THIS.............

just before Christmas, my 15 year old daughter came home from school and I arrived about 5 minutes after and I noticed that she looked very pale and wide eyed. So like any mom would do, I ask her what is wrong. She says "Mom I dont want to walk home anymore", She begins to tell me that an older man followed her from the High School and continued to follow her till a block away from home. I panicked I cried and most of all I got Angry, and also I got a huge flashback of something that happened to me when I was 15, so we get in the car and I ask her what he was wearing and all the details she could remember....She said the guy was telling her how beautiful she was and to let him walk her home and all this crazy stuff......

She continued to walk home and managed to run away from the guy before he noticed she was gone because she entered a store and he followed, she grabbed the opportunity to run when he was the register paying for something.....ok so on my way back to the High School, we see the guy going right back towards the High School, I was shaking and nervous and my daughter was panicking so I called the police and told them the incident that happened.

It resulted in having him arrested because he told the detectives and the cops that the only thing he did was ask her "where he could purchase Phone Cards" when they asked my daughter who was obviously shaken up and scared, that if what he was sayin was true my daughter said No he never asked me that he kept telling me i was beautiful, why wouldnt i speak to him and he kept throwing flirtatious remarks at me.... so when the stories did not coincide, the detectives arrested him for Indecent Conduct towards a minor. We went to court and the judge really went to town with him, his charges were downgraded to Harrassment of a Minor, a Permanent Restrainging Order from the High School and my family and about a $1000 in fines, Plus the best part of the day, a Public Humiliation in front of the Court and those who witnessed the trial, and let me just say that the people in the court room were all parents, including the attorney that represented him, who spoke to us and apologized a million times because he had to work for him, but he wanted him to pay for what he did......

So Please I implore you always watch out for your Children especially your little girls, I was fortunate enough that nothing serious happened and I will always do what I have to do to protect my children.

My other gripe is that I have been battling a very big scare with Cervical Cancer, I am still not out of the woods, Dealing with this on top of what happened, really drains a person and you become depressed and you dont want to deal with anything or anyone, you just wish that you can throw the covers over yourself and take them off and POOF it will be gone, but its not that easy, its in your face all the time and in the back of your head every day......

So with this I ask you to please forgive me for not sending out your things on time, I have not forgotten about any of you and my concious beats me in the head all the time.. to get your things out...... Please expect to receive things over the next few weeks.....I promise that I will make amends and get your candies out to you all...

Double Blog Candy!!!!!!

My Blogger Challenge and a Drink Recipe

Ok so today I had a drink!......LOL....Not just any drink......This drink is called

"Morir Sonando" or in translation to english,,,"A Dying Dream"......sound kinda funny but ooooohhh soooo yumm-ooo.

Whats it made of you ask? Well lets see here.

this measurements are approximate......

2 oranges (Halved)

2 -3 limes (add the 2 or 3 to your taste)

1 or 2 tsps of vanilla (again to your taste)

and then about 1/2 cup or 3/4 cups of Evaporated Milk (whatever brand you like)

3-4 tsps of Sugar

Take the oranges and limes an have them juiced in a juicer....

add the vanilla, milk and sugar and swirl around.....

Add a lot of ice and set aside for about 5 minutes so that i can get really cold........

Then enjoy............

I totally love this drink....

ok now for the Challenge.......

Since the Oranges are obviously orange and

the limes are obviously green,

the vanilla is brown in color and

the milk and sugar is white........ lol...

Lets create a card with these colors and use any style you want

any embellishments you want..... any image Stamp Company you want

But it must be these colors.........

This past Monday on MLK Day,

my daughter's NJROTC Squad

had Competition, and although they were unfairly

passed over I am very proud of them because they put there

heart and soul into the practices and at there

Competition.....
